In early 2017, Uber revised its 14 cultural values into 8 cultural norms — a move designed to align Uber’s culture with the company’s new chapter. In 2019, I was part of a Strike Team created to make these norms and Uber’s culture even more present in our day-to-day. For the first time, they were translated into another language, displayed across meeting rooms and throughout the office, and a guide was created to help bring these norms to life in everyday decision-making.
