Uber Projects
Here you will find a project selection that I developed at Uber. The works vary from conception, design, and development of a modular wayfinding experience in Brazilian Airports, new Driver App Global Launch, to a Hack on Uber Eats App to make it deliver solidarity, Driver Stories, and others.

Uber Airport Project
If you took a flight in one of the 20 main Brazilian airports between 2017 and 2018, you probably noticed an Uber wayfinding that helped you find your driver’s meeting point. But you might not know that behind the development of the floor sticker, we did a complex study to design a modular project that could be applied in any Brazilian airport. The project became a global benchmark for Uber and brought expressive results of thousands of incremental trips in airports.
The Development
In the development process, we studied and understood the passenger's journey to create something relevant to them, always considering the challenge of creating a project that could work with the particularities of each airport.
We studied the waiting and the moving moments and which was the best message to each of them.
We measured the average pace to know the best distance between the distribution of the messages.
We measured the average time between the request and car arrival (ETA - Estimated Time of Arrival) of each airport to indicate the best moment to request a car.
Studied the differences between the airports' floors and created a sticker layout that works for all of them.
We developed a modular sticker format that could be applied in any city, regardless if it had only Uber X or all products categories (Select, Black, Etc).
Carbon Project
The new Uber Driver App
The new Uber Driver app was co-created with drivers from all over the world. They helped test the new app and contribute with tips and insights on how it could be even better. After almost a year of development, the project that has received the codename Carbon was globally launched. I worked directly in the launch by creating and adapting global assets, ensuring that the global launch was aligned with Brazil's realities and particularities. To better understand how the new app was created, you can see more details from the Design perspective here and Engineering here.
Together for Brumadinho
The Brumadinho dam disaster was one of the biggest natural and human tragic events in Brazil. It occurred on 25 January 2019, when a tailings dam at the Córrego do Feijão iron ore mine suffered a catastrophic failure. Right after the event, a cross-functional team at Uber came together to raise a solution to help the tragedy’s victims leveraged by the scaling power of the platform. Throughout a hack inside the Uber Eats App, a special restaurant was created. But instead of meals, the users could buy items that the victims were in need of. The restaurant was updated daily according to the victim's necessities, and all items were directly delivered at Brumadinho.
For the very first time in Uber Eats, a restaurant was created to deliver solidarity.
Uber Driver Stories
In 2017, Uber launched its first integrated campaign in Brazil to present the platform as an option to drive and earn money. Driver Stories was a film series that brought Driver’s real stories who found a different way to earn money and changed their own lives.
Uber Equal
Uber has an Employee Resource Group (ERGs) that is a kind of collective that works together to develop and carry out activities focused on specific causes such as Gender Equality and Women Empowerment (Women at Uber), Racial Inclusion (Black at Uber), Inclusion of the LGBTQI+ Community (Uber Pride) and others. For two years, I was a member and project leader of Uber Equal, one of Uber's ERG collectives promoting opportunities, generating discussions, and creating bridges for people from different socioeconomic backgrounds in Brazil.
